Gate – an entertaining series, and that is what matters, right? Did a pretty decent job of exploring the implications of the scenario that it set out, no matter what the naysayers may have you believe. As for whether to buy the novels, I’m personally leaning no, if only because there are so many other things I want to buy.

Muco was a great fun series – definitely the single series out of those airing last season that was most successful at putting a smile on my face. I don’t think the manga would have the same effect, though…

Teekyuu is Teekyuu is Teekyuu.

Mahou Shoujo Nante Mou Ii Desukara. – pretty much every change they made to the manga served to weaken the last episode of the series, including the reordering that made that bit irrationally become the last episode. Other than that it was as decent as the manga was. I’m already buying the manga.

Two weeks covered but only one week spent with the ability to watch anime so it only counts as one week. Due to trying to get various things sorted in advance of my period of absence, there wasn’t even much watched for one week, and (as expected) no actual “catch up” done.

KonoSuba – now that was certainly a fun series. Looking forward to the second, and hope that the light novel gets announced for an English language release. If not then I’ll buy it from Japan at some point. So long as the UK economy doesn’t implode before I get a chance to.

The season is once again drawing to a close. I guess I should probably look into next season’s anime in more detail. One thing that is clear is that the approach I’ve taken this season really didn’t work.

Now that’s what most weeks should have been more like. I was even able to remove the word “allegedly” from the title. Even if most of those episodes were shorts.

Haruhi-chan – I honestly thought I had finished this but apparently not. Oh well, a good fun series that was pleasant to watch. I’m already buying the manga here. It also takes the prize for “longest time I’ve taken to watch an already completed series”, having been more than 4 years between the first and last episodes.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? – Another series that had been on hold for years. I like the series and will be picking up the second season eventually (something that I have somehow failed to do up to this point). I already read the entirety of the manga adaptation, this series being currently the only one I own the manga of but not the original light novels.

I began the first season of Symphogear because it sounded fun and there was a third season upcoming, with the hope of being able to watch it as it aired. I began the second season, knowing it is fun, on hearing that the fifth was coming. I seem to be falling behind somewhat…

Incidentally, I ended my Animax subscription this week. So I can’t continue watching anything on there for now. This was, however, done by deleting my account entirely.

Noragami Aragato – The first half was definitely better than the second, although the last part was certainly interesting. I’m getting the manga already – maybe I should get around to actually reading it at some point.

Arslan Senki – well it had been a while since I last watched this series, so it took a few minutes to work out what exactly was going on. Once I had gotten into it again, though, I remembered how good the series had been, and soon found myself watching all the remaining episodes back to back (which is not what I had intended to do

This season I’m going to be doing things differently to in other recent seasons, in that I’ll be focusing on my backlog of anime to watch rather than focusing on anime from the upcoming season.

Nonetheless, I’ll still want to establish which of the upcoming season’s anime are worth the watch.
