Weekly Anime Roundup – Autumn 2015 Week 2

Apparently it’s the one year anniversary of this site today. And to celebrate it, here’s a several-hour-late, content-light, weekly roundup post. I’ve been doing too much KanColle. Sorry. Which is also my excuse (or one of) for not having watched much this week.

The other excuse, incidentally, is the fact that I have been able to watch stuff in the usual way. I don’t enjoy stuff as much when watching on the TV with sound coming out the speakers, rather than on my screen with sound from the headphones. Which means I probably enjoyed anything I watched this week less than I should do. As I’m aware of that, I’m rather reluctant to let my opinions of this week’s watches (which were indeed slightly lower than the previous week’s) too much say over the series as a whole.

Weekly Anime Roundup – Autumn 2015 Week 1

Not much actual roundup this week, more of a log of what I’ve watched so far. I haven’t watched more than one episode of anything so far. so there’s really not much to say. For a lot of series it’s still a case of “lets wait and see where this goes” right now.

As a general point, this season has got off to a far better start than I had anticipated. I thought I was starting off with a reasonable range of good through to bad series. But just about everything that I hadn’t expected to be good exceeded my expectations, to the point that I’m now actually worried that I’ve started off with all the best stuff, and thus that everything from here on out won’t match up.

There was one definite exception, though:

JK Meshi! – utterly pointless with abysmal tier art, animation and sound. Characters are effectively nonentities, any other source of interest, including bizarrely the food itself, are actual non-entities. Yeah, this is the Vampire Holmes of the season.

Autumn 2015 anime watching intentions

I’m going to be trying out slightly less things this season than I have for the last few, in an attempt to stop myself from falling behind, which I have done every season since I started trying just about everything that aired. Especially given that doing this has prevented me watching series that I was quite looking forward to.
It helps that there’s quite a lot of things that, for one reason or another, I don’t want to watch anyway.

List after the break
