13 fewer anime starting this season than in Spring. A slightly higher proportion that I will watch but nevertheless the season looks considerably less appealing to me than the last was. Good thing there are a couple of continuing series as well, then. And there are at least a few things that should be good, including some sequels to some decent series.

• Mahou Shoujo? Naria☆Girls – TesaBu director + Mahou Shoujo? Count me in.
• Nejimaki Seirei Senki: Tenkyou no Alderamin – heard lots of good things about the series so hoping it lives up to them.
• New Game! – Looks fun and cute. That + Doga Kobo = perennial winning combination.
Medium Expectations: (8)
• Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru! – it’s a decent series. Nothing great, though.
• Momokuri (TV) – stalker girlfriend romantic slice of life comedy? Could be good. Could be awful.
• Orange – lots of people seem to think this series is an all time great. We’ll see if they’re right.
• Qualidea Code – only the fact that there are 3 seemingly disparate groups prevents this from being in the high expectations section.
• ReLIFE – wildcard of the season. This could be brilliant but likewise it could be unbearable.
• Rewrite – I’m hoping that this doesn’t rely on knowledge of the game.
• Saiki Kusuo no Ψ Nan – insufficient information
• Taboo-Tattoo – not familiar with the source and it’s a type of series that depends a lot on execution.
Low Expectations: (13)
• Amaama to Inazuma – that PV doesn’t particularly appeal to me but could be good.
• Amanchu! – Diving isn’t something that particularly appeals to me, in principle or in practice.
• Ange Vierge – adaptation of a card game.
• Bananya – probably won’t be available but looks like it could be worth the watch if it is. Unlikely, though.
• Berserk (2016) – everything I’ve heard about this series over the years (and there’s a lot that I have heard about it) indicates that it’s not my sort of series. I could be wrong, though, and now is my chance to find out
• Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu – worth a try, but not expecting much.
• Fukigen na Mononokean
• Mob Psycho 100 – not much about it looks of interest but may as well try.
• Onara Gorou – expecting an ep. 1 drop but I have to at least try something as stupid as this.
• Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars – mecha = low interest and likely drop.
• Scared Rider Xechs – hoping this isn’t too heavy SF.
• Servamp – Servant + Vampire isn’t the most promising of combinations… And that is not what a cat looks like.
• Tales of Zestiria the X – apparently this is a weak Tales of game and an adaptation of a weak game can’t be good… can it?

• 91 Days – yeah, stuff like this are never even worth watching.
• B-Project: Kodou * Ambitious
• Battery – sports series about some miraculous genius. Yawn.
• Cheer Danshi!! – When I first saw this I hoped it would be a comedy but apparently not. Not for me thanks.
• DAYS – sports series about some miraculous genius. Yawn.
• Hatsukoi Monster – Love with a 5th grader? Even if it’s a comedy, no thanks.
• Hitori no Shita: The Outcast – not a fan of zombie stuff, nor does the PV contain a single thing to entice me to watch the series.
• Honobono Log – completely unappealing.
• Masou Gakuen HxH – I’ve heard enough about this series to know that it isn’t for me.
• Ozmafia!! – original plus short plus based on a visual novel. No thanks.
• Neko Konogoro – almost certainly won’t be available to watch and nothing to entice me to go looking.
• Puzzle & Dragons Cross – yeah errm no.
• Time Travel Shoujo: Mari Waka to 8-nin no Kagakusha-tachi – I suspect this would be far too cringeworthy to bear watching.
• Tsukiuta. The Animation – obviously aimed solely at those who are familiar with the source.
