Thoughts on the season so far:
Well it’s looking a bit like a season of superpowers at present, with every one of the top 8 series containing either something along those lines or some supernatural elements. Obviously a lot of things I’ve only watched one episode of so far, so there’s plenty that can change. Some of the first episodes didn’t even really get going properly with the series, but merely set the scene.
OreTwi is gold-dust. I’ll probably order the first novel or two in my next order from Japan.

Hey. just wanted to say I find your rankings really unique. It’s like the strangest ranking of Fall 2014 I’ve seen in awhile. but yeah respect your opinion though.

Still not sure how I’d rank the season. YuYuYu is doing literally all the right things right now. There wasn’t one moment there indicative of how good it was, it just didn’t make a mistake and did lots of cool little things. That and Togo is manifestly amazing. That and Bahamut/UBW/Kokkuri/Reco-G are my curent top 5 in some order.
Twin Tails is interesting enough to keep up with. Tail red is Sumire Uesaka, and I like the way it’s blending precure and sentai elements with too-specific fetish gags.

To be honest, I wasn’t sure either. Anything between about 7 and 17 on that list could quite happily have been given a rank 3-5 places higher or lower within that section and I wouldn’t have thought it wrong (9 of those 11 being series that I had only seen 1 episode of at the time). The idea is to do this every week (without looking at the previous ranking) and track how my opinion changes over time. There’s already been some quite significant shifts since this blog post was made.
